iMistletoe Free on the App Store

Merry Christmas and happy holidays from Swavv Applications! As a quick side project, Rob put together iMistletoe…PRO (our naming conventions are getting predictable). Don’t worry, we’re still working VERY hard on huge improvements to Beer Pong to be announced shortly.

iMistletoe is extremely simple: Opening the application puts a picture of Mistletoe on the screen, and shaking the phone will ‘jingle’ the bells. It’s great for breaking the ice at that stuffy office Christmas party, or for getting a smooch from that special someone around the holidays. Rumor has it that Lucas snagged two kisses last week with iMistletoe.

*Quite a few other Mistletoe’s have come out on the App Store. Here’s how you can tell ours apart: 1) it’s free! and 2) from the red and green lips on the logo (same as Spin the Bottle, but red and green)

Beer Pong PRO breaks into the Top 10 Apps

Our latest release, Beer Pong PRO, has broken into the Top 10 Free Apps on the Apple App Store! Since its release a week ago, we’ve seen over 100,000 downloads in 60+ countries. All of us here at Swavv Apps are very happy with the app’s success, but breaking into the top 10 has only seen us working harder to make your mobile beer pong experience as seamless as possible.

We’ve submitted an update to Apple that resolves many of the issues that some of our users have been experiencing. The update also contains additional features. The full list of enhancements includes:

* Fixed stability and network issues

* iPhone Edge and 3G support!

* Faster network games

* New interactive tutorial

* New sensitivity preference and calibration screen

* Updated video tutorial

The company formerly known as “inThing Apps” has now officially become “Swavv Apps”. We’re still the same three guys, with the same great code, only with a jazzier name.

inThing’s first app goes live!

inThing Apps has officially posted its first app on the Apple AppStore!

Its called “Spin the Bottle PRO”, and it will make for the best $0.99 you’ve ever spent. What’s cool about our app is that besides lots of bottles and backgrounds to choose from, we’ve incorporated a special “cheating” feature too. With a flick of the switch, you can turn this feature on, tilt the phone slightly in the direction of the person you’d like to smooch, and presto! The bottle magically points towards your crush. Of course, you can also play the regular way as well if you’d like to chance your luck. But just in case that’s too risky for you, this feature’s got you covered. Here’s a quick look at the app interface:

Welcome to inThing Apps! We’re a Silicon Valley, California based start-up concentrating on writing killer iPhone apps. In the true start-up vein, we were founded by three Stanford students with too much time on their hands.

We have some really exciting apps coming out in the next few weeks (as of August 22nd, 2008), so watch this space carefully for updates!
